Bloons Tower Defense 4 Script

In Bloons Tower Defense 4, when there is a lot of action on the screen, right-clicking the screen causes the flash menu to come up (seen below) and you can't close it, causing you to lose the game. This script switches your right-mouse button to a left-click and hold, so you don't accidentally open the flash menu. Additionally, now you can right-click the fast-foward button in the bloons game and the left-mouse button will be held down for you. Right-click or left-click again to disable it.

My Portfolio

The following is a list of some of the projects I have completed. Please feel free to check them out.

FreeCoinMachines.com Website

This website was developed to learn the Google Maps API. It lists coin counting machines around the country and their rates. Users can add new machines to the database. This site uses PHP, Javascript, CSS, Regular Expressions, and a MySQL database backend. Additionally, the website automatically scrapes the coinstar website and adds its machines to the FCM database. Click here to visit the site.

Skills Demonstrated: PHP, Javascript, CSS, Regular Expressions (RegEx), MySQL

Getting Google Maps API to center on your location based on your IP Address

Here is how you can have Google Maps automatically center at the user's location based on their IP Address.

First, download the latest free GeoCity Lite Binary data from here: http://www.maxmind.com/app/geolitecity (click the link that says Download the latest GeoLite City Binary Format)
Next, download the PHP Pure APIs from http://www.maxmind.com/app/php. The files you want to snag are geoipcity.inc and geoipregionvars.php.

Couple of things to mention:

Hostname in titlebar for Firefox 3.5.*

I updated the plugin 'Hostname in titlebar' so that it is compatible with firefox 3.5. The only thing different is the maxVersion number, all other files are identical.

This is for use with KeePass.

You can download it below. Just save the file and then open it with your Firefox Browser.

Uninstalling iTunes Causes CD/DVD-ROM Drive to Stop Being Recognized in Windows

I uninstalled iTunes today in favor of Songbird. When I uninstalled it however, my DVD+RW drive stopped being recognized by Windows Vista. It was unlikely to be a hardware failure (dead drive), because my virtual CloneCD drive stopped working as well.

The exact error Windows Device Manager was reporting was:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Benford's Law and More Statistics [UPDATED]

Inspired by a post I saw on Reddit, I decided to analyze the 2008 NH Primary Election results using Benford's Law.

Benford's Law basically states that if you take a data set, examine the first digit of each number and tallied all the 1's, 2's, 3's, and so forth, you would see far more 1's, 2's and 3's than 7's, 8's and 9's, as shown in the chart/graph below:

Cell Phone Tips

The following is a list of tips & tricks that I've come across that make cell phone use easier. I will edit this list as more tricks are discovered. Please post yours in the comments section!

Never Enter Your Voicemail Password Again!

Create a contact in your cell phone called Voicemail and set it to SpeedDial #1.
Set the Contact's Phone Number to *86 + [2 Sec Pause] + [Your Voicemail Password]
The 2 second pause can usually be found by hitting one of the softkeys, and is sometimes called a "soft pause" or "timed paused."

This video demonstrates how to close a chip bag without requiring a bag clip or rubber band.
